Pershore Town 0, Bolehall Swifts 2
TOWN'S dismal form continued last weekend when they made it a mere eight points from 18 league matches since the turn of the year.
The goals for and against record is also appalling. In their last five matches including two cup ties, they have scored just once and conceded 15 in five successive defeats.
Title chasing Swifts collected the three points easily with two goals in the first half. The first after 18 minutes saw a cross by James Sperin headed home by Richard Allmark.
Two minutes later, Town's Darren Tafft set up a half-chance for Kristian Wood but his effort was wide of an upright before a drive from Dean Wise flew narrowly off target.
Twelve minutes before the break Bolehall grabbed a crucial second when Gregg Walters volleyed a cross from Scott Pritchett into the roof of the net.
Just before the half-time whistle, Tafft drove well for goal but the ball was parried by keeper Martin Taylor. Tafft struck again but again the keeper saved.
After the break, Pershore had more of the ball but failed to threaten the visitors' goal, the one scoring chance saw Tafft, with only the keeper to beat, lob the ball wide.
Things got worse on Tuesday with yet another defeat but it was an expected reverse as Alvechurch's 3-1 win lifted them to the top of the table.
