ONE fish was enough to give Dave Bedford his first win of the season, competing on the near pool at Hay Farm.
Bedford landed a 15lb 4oz common, taken on single caster, staking an early season claim for the heaviest fish.
Young Owen Baker fished well on the Curtis Pool to take second place with small carp and silver fish.

Fishing swimfeeder with corn hook bait, Cleavely's win took him into an early lead for the aggregate trophy.
Result: Cleavely 49-10, Jones 25-8, John Holden 24-4, Bill Bedford 17-10.
