THE caretaker at The Littletons School retired from her job this week after 19 years.
Noreen Belej, of Shinehill Lane, South Littleton, started work at the school in May 1985 and retired on Tuesday aged 65.
She is moving away from the area to live near her daughter and grandchildren in Northampton.
Pupils at the school had a special lunch with Noreen on Tuesday and presented her with pictures they had drawn and gardening vouchers, so she can continue her hobby at her new home.
"I felt like a celebrity on Tuesday," she said. "I shall miss them all so much. I've seen generations grow up at the school and the ones I knew when they were five years old are now grown up and married and bring their own children to the school."
