Evesham Utd Robins U-9 2,
Peopleton 0
ROBINS ended the season on a victorious note by winning the Ambassador Cup final in a tight game against a spirited Peopleton side.
In front of a large crowd the first half was even with chances few and far between.
The nearest either side came to a goal was a shot from James Coldrick that was tipped over by the Peopleton goalkeeper.
Robins began to gain the upper hand in the second half and eventually took the lead when David Stringer bent a right foot shot into the far corner from the edge of the box.
Peopleton battled hard to get back on level terms but the few chances that fell went to United who sealed victory when Mark Washington successfully finished off a one-on-one with the keeper.
In addition to their cup success, the Robins also picked up league runners-up medals having been pipped for the title by Bredon Colts.
