ADVICE ranging from how to resolve hedge disputes to how to find the cheapest gas and electricity supplier is available on Worcestershire County Council's website, and the council is urging more people to get into the know.
People with internet access can log on to the public advice section of www.worcestershire.gov.uk and find useful links and contacts for more than 40 different community services. The advice is split into categories including general advice, business and consumer, charities, disabilities, employment and health.
The website is a great help for communities in the county, according to the Cabinet member for community services, Councillor Stephen Clee, but he is concerned that not enough people know that information and help can be so easy to find.
He said: "Easy access to advice, information and support is essential for residents in this complex society we have and I'm very pleased that the county council is taking the lead."
He added: "As more people start to realise that the council is a community organisation, more and more people look to us for help. Fortunately, the technology we have now allows us to offer so much information that we're able to help with many of life's problems and challenges."
