ART lovers and gardeners alike will enjoy the return to Malvern of a popular annual exhibition.

On the Wildside Natural History Art Gallery is staging its third annual botanical and floral exhibition throughout May and aims to display a range of styles from a range of well-known and up-and-coming artists.

New talents like Sue Aldridge will be showing off their work, as will professionals like Rosanne Sanders, who has had work commissioned by The Queen, Prince Charles and the Queen Mother.

A new element will be included in this year's show, in the form of a collection of work from the Birmingham Society of Botanical Artists' Centenary Touring Exhibition. The society, which was established by Birmingham University students, is based at Winterbourne Botanical Gardens in Birmingham and pieces in their touring exhibition, which celebrates the gardens' centenary, show plants in various stages of their life cycle, demonstrating detailed knowledge of their subject.

The exhibition will include paintings, etchings and some sculpture and is designed to coincide with the RHS Spring Garden Show at the Three Counties Showground nearby for plant buffs looking for an all-round green-fingered experience.

The exhibition runs from May 6 to 31 at On the Wildside Natural History Art Gallery, 32 Church Street, Malvern, open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm.
