LAST Sunday again saw members of the turnout in numbers for another round of the popular Bradford and Bingley Spring Trophy staged at the Ash Pool, Manor Farm Leisure in Harvington.

Bill Scarrott won a closely-fought competition with a net of mainly small carp and a few tench weighing in at 12.7.0.

A mere 1.8ozs behind was Neil Hards with 12.5.8, while bringing up the rear of the top three was Howard Norledge (7.13.0).

To make his day, the winner also won the golden peg prize on a day when every entrant caught at regular intervals on what proved an enjoyable day's competition.

Members wishing to fish at Moorlands on Sunday are reminded that they should meet at the old Post Office in Evesham, ready for a 7am departure.

Evesham Jubilee Society

THE Fishery reopens today for full and associate members and an Open match will be staged on Saturday with the draw at 9am.

Fishing is for five hours, ring John on 01386 41273 to book your spot.

The Centenary Trophy, a competition for full society members celebrating 105 years of Jubilee fishing, takes place on Saturday, May 10.

The draw is at 9am, contact any society official to confirm attendance.
