PARENTS and grandparents are needed to help cope with a growing demand to ease the pressure on families with young children in Wyre Forest.
Home-Start Wyre Forest is now in its seventh year and wants volunteers with parenting experience to provide support for families with children under five.
A new preparation course is due to start in May for one day a week over 10 weeks to give volunteers guidance on confidentiality and other aspects of home visiting.
"We have 37 volunteers at the moment but that's not enough to cope with the demand," said Home-Start's Jane Jarman.
"As our service has become more well-known, we're getting more referrals."
