THE sale of Kemp Hospice's site to a developer could make up to £1 million to secure the move to Mason Road.
There is planning permission to demolish two buildings at the current Sutton Park Road base in Kidderminster to accommodate nine detached and semi-detached houses.
A third building will be converted into a house.
A senior partner at estate agent Phipps & Pritchard, which is handling the sale, said it was a prime site.
"Kemp would be over the moon if the lot made a million, but it's more likely to be £800,000 or £900,000," said Tim Elliott.
He added the estate agent had already received more than 20 requests for information with the closing date for tenders still six days away.
The former Cedars Hotel in Mason Road is due to be transformed into a new enlarged day care centre for patients with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses, with an in-patient unit to follow.
