A TIRELESS football team which has already raised thousands of pounds and is on target to drum up thousands more for Kemp Hospice has netted a bottle of bubbly.
Hartlebury's Torton Turds has staged charity events for the appeal since last September, kicking off with a golf contest which raised £3,500.
The 25-member club is now organising an August 2 ball in the village for up to 350 guests which is set to make £4,000.
And another golf day has been scheduled for September 7 at Kidderminster Golf Club to round off a generous year.
Torton Turds, which plays weekly in a friendly league, picks a different cause every year and opted to help Kemp after Richard Maughan - a member of the fundraising committee - went to the appeal's public launch a year ago.
For further information about the ball or the golf day contact Mr Maughan on 01299 879166.
