TWO wins and a defeat failed to lift Cotswold Cobras to victory in the National Floorball League finals.
The Chipping Campden based club edged out Grantham in their opening match at Cheltenham in a game of seven goals.
The Cobras conceded four in their second Southern Section outing but grabbed eight at the other end to overcome Basingstoke.
However, Chester proved too hot to handle in the final match and a 6-2 defeat ended hopes of success.
Next up for the Cobras is the British Knockout finals at the Prince of Wales Leisure Centre this weekend.
The action gets under way at the Cheltenham venue at 9am on Saturday and Sunday when the season promises to reach an exciting climax.
