THE second of four organ recitals at Kidderminster Town Hall is being held on Thursday, May 8.
The organist will be Trevor Tipple, who is organist and choirmaster at St Martin's Church, Worcester.
Mr Tipple studied the organ with Trevor Protheroe, then organist of St John's Church, Worcester, and later with Dr Vernon Butcher, then director of music at Worcester College for the Blind.
He served an apprenticeship in organ building with Nicholson's or Worcester, later becoming a director of the company, and now runs his own business.
Mr Tipple was appointed to St Martin's Church in 1966, and reconstructed the organ there in 1975.
The remaining concerts in the series feature Daniel Phillips, assistant organist at Worcester Cathedral, on Thursday, June 12, and Tim Morris, Kidderminster Town Hall organist, on Thursday, July 10.
The recitals start at 1.10pm. Admission is £3, or £1.50 for members of the Hill Organ Promotion Society.
