SERVICES at St James Church, Staunton were well attended over the Easter period with a service of matins and meditation on Good Friday conducted by Canon John Evans. The organist was Margaret Riley.
The church had been beautifully decorated by the church flower arrangers for the Easter Sunday service and included in the arrangements were lilies in memory of loved ones.
The service was led by the Rev Penny Hamer with Canon John Evans. During the service the children were shown day old chicks and were given Easter eggs and everyone had a piece of the cake made at the Mothering Day service. Holy Communion was celebrated during the service. Margaret Riley was the organist. On Sunday, May 4, there will be family service at 10.30am.
