THREE sassy r'n'b girls with some great tunes are brining a touch of feminine mystique to Wolverhampton.
Alesha, Sabrina and Su-Elise are Mis-Teeq, the UK's premier r'n'b girl band.
Originating from the UK garage scene, the girls stormed the charts in 2001 with their debut hit Why, which was embraced by clubs and radio stations alike.
A further four Top 10 singles, All I Want, One Night Stand, B With You and the double A side Roll On/This Is How We Do It followed, which helped propel their critically acclaimed, double platinum-selling debut album Lickin' On Both Sides, to No 3 in the UK charts.
After winning the Best Artist award at the UK Garage Awards, the girls performed a spectacular great live performance at the Brits 2002 as well as being nominated for Best Newcomer.
After that, the girls opened the Queen's Golden Jubilee Concert at Buckingham Palace, performed sets at Glastonbury and Creamfields 2002 and scooped the Best Band award at the Maxim Woman Of The Year Awards, the Best Dance Act award at the Capital FM London Awards, as well as the prestigious Best Garage Act award at the 2002 MOBO Awards.
Their single, Scandalous, was a sexy slice of hook-laden r&b, written by the girls themselves.
Mis-Teeq will be playing The Civic Hall, in Wolverhampton, on Tuesday, September 30.
