RECENTLY no fewer than four seats have disappeared from the top end of Malvern Link Common, all within a stone's throw of one another. These are:
1. A wooden seat from outside the entrance to Perrins House on Moorlands Road;
2. The second, also wooden, was on the rising ground near the junction of Graham Road and Worcester Road.
3. The third was on Graham Road at its junction with Moorlands Road. This was on the left hand side going towards the Worcester Road.
4. Only last week, at the same crossroads, the metal seat which backed onto the wall of Davenham Lodge also disappeared.
5. A fifth has gone, not quite on the common but not far away, along Graham Road, not far from its junction with Zetland Road, on the right hand side going towards the town.
Where have they all gone? Have they been stolen or removed? If so why and please can we have them back? They are sadly missed.
We now have only one left and that is along Graham Road between Moorlands Road and Worcester Road, on the right hand side going towards Worcester Road. This is very well used and seems to me to be in almost constant use.
Can anyone solve the mystery of the missing seats?
ELLEN FISHER, Albert Road North, Malvern.
