THE location of speed cameras being used around Malvern, Bromyard and Ledbury is being posted on a police website.
The Safety Camera Partnership in West Mercia has promised to regularly update its website at www.speedaware.org.uk to publicise details of camera locations in Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
This week, enforcement officers with mobile cameras will be monitoring the speed of eastbound traffic on the B4211 on Barnards Green Road, Malvern, northbound traffic on the A417 Parkway towards Ledbury and in both directions on the A4103 at Newtown Cross.
Heather Mead, communications manager for the Safety Camera Partnership, said: "While we already provide a list of all our operational sites on the website, we felt it would be helpful to let motorists know which of these sites will actually be in use.
"We're doing this because the purpose of installing these additional cameras is to dissuade drivers from exceeding speed limits and to reduce the number of people killed or injured at a particular site, not to catch them speeding."
The partnership launched the campaign on April 7 using camera enforcement to reduce the number of casualties resulting from speed-related collisions.
