FORMER Worcester City manager George Rooney is being touted as a possible successor to Bromsgrove Rovers duo Gary Hackett and Jon Ford.
Showdown talks last night with chairman Tom Herbert failed to resolve their futures, but they are expected to discover their fate after tomorrow's season finale against Swindon Supermarine.
Hackett and Ford led Rovers to promotion from the Midland Alliance last season and the club are currently third in the Dr Martens Western Division.
Despite their success it is be-lieved Herbert, who was a director at St George's Lane during Rooney's spell in charge, is considering a change in a bid to achieve Premier Division status.
