A WORKSHOP on African drumming is being held at Storridge Village Hall on Sunday, May 11.
The workshop, suitable for all levels, is a chance to connect with the drum spirit and rhythms of west Africa.
Leading the workshop is Ablorh Adjetey, from Teshie in Gambia, who is making his first visit to the UK.
He is a traditional master drummer and member of the Odehe Company for Cultural Drumming and Dance, Accra.
Participants will be able to discover west African drumming techniques in a relaxed atmosphere.
The workshop will cover traditional palm drumming, cross rhythms, cowbells and shaker patterns, and even a song or two. Ablorh will be teaching Djembe and Ghanaian rhythms, as well as other west African patterns.
The workshop runs from 10am until 4pm and costs £30. To book, call 01452 812983, or 01886 880573.
