AS an opponent of the proposed sports pavilion on Northwick Lodge I was somewhat surprised by claims made by local political parties.
First, a Conservative leaflet accused the Liberal Democrats of being in favour of the scheme and suggested that one more Liberal Democrat councillor being voted on to the council may sway any future decision in favour of the scheme.
Then, a Liberal Democrat leaflet was delivered which stated that the scheme was originally proposed by the Tories, implying that they were against the scheme.
Is it any wonder that voters have become so disillusioned with politics when this kind of thing happens?
