JOB hunters are being given a fresh chance this week as a major recruitment drive gets under way in Kidderminster.
The Crossley Retail Park development is opening up hundreds of new opportunities and the first wave of interviews is being held at the town's JobCentre.
Home and leisure superstore The Range is looking to fill 130 part-time and full-time vacancies, varying from managers and supervisors with retail experience to sales, administrative and caf assistants who will be given training.
"It's very exciting. It's the biggest recruitment drive we've had in the town for a long time," said JobCentre manager Kim Evans. "We have had a steady stream of people being interviewed all this week, though there will still be opportunities today (Thursday) and Friday."
The Kidderminster store is set to be the first one for The Range outside the south of England and is expected to open in June. It has 16 departments inc-luding furniture, arts and crafts and DIY.
Ms Evans said PC World is due to open on Crossley Park in August and will be interviewing for about 40 jobs in May and June.
The Weavers Wharf development will have 18 units, inc-luding JJB Sports, TK Maxx and Pizza Hut.
"They will be needing a lot of people to work and there will be hundreds of jobs," Ms Evans said.
