MANAGER Ian Britton has given Kidderminster Harriers fans a pat on the back for the 'quality' of their support during the season.
Harriers are among the least supported clubs in the Nationwide League, but Britton regards the backing they have received from their loyal hard-core followers as 'terrrific'.
He said: "I know we don't have the biggest numbers in terms of fans in the Football League but the quality of their support has been terrific."
His 'thank-you' to fans comes on the last day of the season when Harriers were gearing up for a bumper all-ticket gate against Bristol Rovers this afternoon.
Once the match is over Britton will be turning his attention to next term when financial constraints will again influence how much he has available to spend on players.
He has, however, ready been told he will have less cash to splash out next season.
He said: "It's obviously going to make it more difficult. But I'm not going to whinge about it because it's in the best interests of the club.
"It's not good spending money the club cannot afford.
"The directors need to make sure the club is stable financially.
"But they have told me that I will be able to spend any other income we generate through sponsorship or cup runs."
Britton, however, is already planning to use the loan system which has proved successful for him this season.
