THERE was fun and frolics galore for visitors to the Upton-upon-Severn Folk Festival.
Musicians from up and down the country were joined by around 50 different morris dancing groups and thousands of folk fans in the historic riverside town.
Organisers hailed the event - the highlight of which was a parade on Sunday - as a great success.
"It's all gone very smoothly," said Roger Davies, chairman of the folk festival committee.
"As well as the three venues, there have been a lot of impromptu performances in the pubs and on the streets.
"Every five yards there was a different morris side performing. It was a lovely atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed it."
The festival started on Friday evening and finished yesterday.
Around 40 different acts played in the three main venues.
The festival is not just for English folk music - there were also representatives of Wales, Scotland and Ireland.
"We even had Catalan dancers from Spain," said Mr Davies.
"We're starting to get international groups wanting to come. It's good for tourism and the town."
