AN investigation has been launched to find out why a man fell to his death from a building on which he was working.
Hereford police have teamed up with the Health and Safety Executive to discover what caused the accident in Leominster on Sunday, May 4.
The tragedy took place at around 10.30am in Southern Avenue.
The man, aged in his 40s, had been working on the roof in a cherry picker-style hoist when he fell around 40ft to the ground.
The County Air Ambulance attended the scene but he was pronounced dead.
The man has not yet been formally identified.
A full investigation is now taking place and witnesses are being urged to contact Det Sgt Peter Moore, of Hereford police, on 01432 276422.
