AN elderly man died after his car collided with a wall in Holt Heath, near Worcester.
The man was driving a blue Vauxhall Astra along the A443 Witley Road, when the vehicle collided with a brick wall near the turning for Ockeridge.
The collision happened at 5.33pm yesterday and the victim was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
A post mortem was due to be carried out today.
No passengers
There were no passengers in the car and firefighters were not called to the scene.
The victim has not yet been formally identified and members of his family have not been informed of his death.
His name will be released when these procedures have been carried out.
Police are keeping an open mind on the cause of the incident and are appealing for witnesses.
