CONCERNS have been expressed about the progress of a project team set up to oversee a review of county ophthalmology services.
The team was due to meet last week with staffing at the Alexandra Hospital high on the agenda, according to Redditch and Bromsgrove Community Health Council (CHC) chief officer Moira Morris.
But the meeting has been postponed until the end of the month and the staffing issue is not on the agenda.
What will be discussed though is a new diagnostic and treatment centre being built at Kidderminster.
Mrs Morris is still worried that with the disbandment of CHCs across the country in September, there will be nobody to continue lobbying the trust for improved services at the Alexandra Hospital.
Worcestershire Acute Hospital NHS Trust director of strategy and management Sheryl Knight, project team chairman, said there was nothing to fear from the new centre.
