LOW budget gore-fest Jason X is a let down to all good horror movies.
It follows Jason Voorhees, of the Friday the 13th series, who is frozen in time along with cryogenic scientist Rowan (Lexa Doig) only to be awoken in 2455 to continue his killing spree.
Before his trip in time Jason had already slaughtered 200 people, but 455 years without any practice isn't going to stop him.
This film follows as he kills, butchers and slays most of the crew, who are on a routine training mission, heading to Solaris.
Admittedly, I hadn't sat in front of all nine previous Friday the 13th movies, but what a waste of time that would have been if this picture is anything to go by.
The acting, from a cast of relative unknowns, is awful and to add to this the 'spectacular special effects' and 'hi-tech weapons' look like they're from one of the first episodes of Dr Who.
The only thing that keeps this film interesting is counting the number of people killed and looking forward to seeing how the next crew member is going to die - a personal favourite was the pro-wrestler 'spine breaker' move.
If only someone could freeze this effort for the next 455 years.
