ALVECHURCH and Hopwood slipped to a losing draw in their top two clash at Brockhampton to trail the leaders by three points after two fixtures.
The Bromsgrove Road side pocketed five points to their opponents' 12 and entertain Worcester Nomads on Saturday (2pm start).
The Worcester side have yet to complete a fixture this season.
Astwood Bank's home match against Romsley and Hunnington and Feckenham's fixture at home to Oldswinford fell victim to the weather.
Both sides picked up five league points for the abandonments to leave the Bank fourth and Feckenham seventh.
Astwood Bank visit bottom-of-the-table Stourport on Saturday (1.30pm start) and Feckenham visit Romsley.
Hewell completed their fixture at Brintons and climbed to joint top after a six wicket win.
The rain-interrupted match was almost abandoned but having won the toss Hewell put the hosts in to bat.
The visitors got off to a great start when Paul Andrews bowled Brintons' opening batsmen.
He went on to final match figures of 2-22 from 12 overs.
Mark Allcock had a good match with the ball with figures of 4-26 from 8.1 overs as Brintons were restricted to 127 all out.
Hewell got off to a bad start when captain Neil Sutton was dismissed for five but Billy Gill carried his bat and finished on 80no.
The villagers entertain Teme Valley on Saturday (2pm start).
