TORY councillor Don Lawley slammed an anonymous sleaze campaign which had been circulating in Droitwich Spa.
He and a number of district and town colleagues were the subjects of poison pen letters, which flew through letterboxes across the town in the weeks running up to the election.
Disparaging and often personal comments were made about a number of Tory councillors, which for legal reasons the Advertiser cannot print.
Cllr Lawley said there is no place for dirty tactics in local politics and that the main parties had played a fair game.
He said one letter informed residents that 'psychos' would move into their neighbourhood if redevelopment plans for the boxing club, near the canal basin, go ahead.
"The scheme aims to provide homes for the people with mental health issues.
"Psychos is a terrible word to use and also scares residents," Cllr Lawley added.
