DROITWICH Dolphins put in some excellent performances to finish third in the first round of the Mercian Swimming League.
The ladies open team of Charlotte Llewellyn, Alex Dunn, Kate Hull and Rachel Roberts were among the stars, taking second place in both the freestyle and medley relays. Roberts and Dunn also won the 100 metres breaststroke and freestyle respectively. Ian James won the freestyle.
David Fisher, in the U12s, finished 13 seconds ahead of the field to win the 100m breaststroke and Fiona Watt took first place in the 100m butterfly.
There was also success at the Worcester County Long Distance Championships last month.
Dolpins' ladies captain Rachel Roberts won the 200m breaststroke, qualifying for the Midland District Finals.
Felicity Hunter won the 200m and 100m breaststroke events. Elsewhere, Sam Fowles was selected for the county swimming team at U14s level.
