CONFUSED driving instructors have called for some clarification on how their pupils should be told to negotiate a roundabout.

Controversial new markings on the roundabout by Sainsbury's supermarket have prompted anger and outrage from scores of people.

The roundabout is causing confusion among driving instructors, who have been left wondering whether to tell their pupils to indicate right or not to indicate at all.

Chairman of Redditch Driving School Association Andy Atkinson said people were now driving through the housing estates to avoid having to cross over the heavily congested island.
