THE man found dead at his home in Worcester was a known drug user, a Worcestershire coroner has revealed.
Christopher Woolley was found dead at his home in Avon Road, Tolladine, on Friday, May 2.
The police investigation into the death of the 25-year-old painter and decorator is being supervised by the Police Complaints Authority because he died while on police bail.
"He had been released by police who were enquiring into assault allegations on May 2 at 00.30hrs," said Coroner Victor Round at the opening of the inquest in Stourport yesterday.
"He was found dead later that day at his home by a friend. He has a history of abusing drugs."
Samples of Mr Woolley's blood have been sent for analysis and the inquest was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
Two people have been arrested in connection with Mr Woolley's death.
One was charged with supplying a class A drug and appeared before Worcester magistrates on Monday, May 5.
The case was adjourned until Monday, May 12.
