GOLFERS will be teeing off with the aim of beating a charity target in an annual tournament at Kidderminster Golf Club.
The Kidderminster Carpet Manufacturers National Golf Tournament is now in its 47th year and has raised well over £500,000.
Organiser Mike Hardiman said last year £18,000 was shared between Macmillan Cancer Relief and the furnishing industry charity, the FTBA. organiser Mike Hardiman and Peter Kimmins, general manager of Georgian Carpets, are pictured getting into the swing for the annual event.
"It's a magnificent achievement for a two-day event," he said. "We're hoping to get even more this time."
Sponsorship money comes from all the carpet manufacturers, with Georgian being the main sponsor this year. Around 350 golf enthusiasts from the carpet industry and guests will be taking part on Tuesday and Wednesday.
