GARDENING CLUB: Brenda Jones was the speaker at the meeting held on April 26. Her talk was entitled "Good plants for scent and colour", illustrated with many fine examples taken from her own garden. Obviously a very experienced gardener and knowledgeable plantswoman, Brenda was able to give members plenty of ideas and inspiration to take away with them.
The monthly competition of "Three stems of Scented plants" was won by Dorothy Turpitt, with Colin Hill second. Next months meeting consists of garden visits to members gardens in Wickhamford. The hosts are Rowlatt and Derrick Cook at Touchstone and Anne and Tiny Hadley at Robin Cottage. For further information contact Colin Hill. Chairman on 01386 853412.
