THE losing Labour agent in a closely fought battle for a Kidderminster ward has slammed the count as "shambolic".
There were three recounts for the two Oldington and Foley Park seats and Labour's candidates came third and fourth.
Agent Adrian Sewell said Labour was third by only vote in the first count, two in the second - but 16 in the third, losing 10 to the Tories.
He said: "Confusion reigned at the count. We expressed our disappointment. It was shambolic."
Mr Sewell said he had mistakenly accepted the result.
Returning officer Walter Delin said counts were complicated when electors could vote for two candidates and he added a "discrepancy" had been found on the third recount.
But he said: "I always get complaints from losing candidates that it's been shambolic but as far as I'm concerned the count was efficient and effective."
