A HUSBAND-and-wife political partnership is back in business after Peter Dyke rejoined his other half as a district councillor.
The Liberal Democrat, who lost his Aggborough and Spennells seat 12 months ago, recaptured it when he trounced Health Concern rival Jacqueline Cotterill by nearly 300 votes.
Mr Dyke's wife Helen is already a councillor in the same ward.
"I'm absolutely over the moon," he said. "We worked really hard. We fought on local issues and when I canvassed there was a lot of support.
"I think I'm back where I belong."
Mrs Dyke acted as agent for her husband and said they were up leafleting at 3.30am on election day.
Aggborough & Spennells Health Concern incumbent Frank Baillie decided to contest Wolverley instead, but failed to capture the seat.
Mike and Fran Oborski - who won a landslide victory in Offmore - are the other district husband-and-wife team on the council.
