I AM attempting to find a photograph or drawing showing Aggborough farmhouse, off Hoo Road, before it was demolished to make way for Kidderminster College.
The farm, though not necessarily the demolished building, was home to one branch of the Doolittle family, which I have been researching for the past 23 years.
They were there in the mid and late 16th century, before two sons went to the American colonies in about 1638.
The younger, Abraham, had many children and became the patriarch of the numerous Doolittles of America.
My husband and I are shortly to visit a large group of Abraham's descendants at a reunion in Wallingford, Connecticut, the town founded by Abraham and a group of settlers.
I had hoped to be able to take a picture of their Kidderminster roots, but have so far drawn a blank at Kidderminster Library, Bewdley Museum and the Worcestershire Records Office.
I would be most grateful if anyone could help me.
The Doolittles of America and Canada are very interested in their Kidderminster roots and many of them have visited Kidderminster and photographed the church and the Baxter chair.
I have not yet been able to prove a connection with this family and that of Edward Doolittle, founder of Messrs Doolittle and Dalley, whose family line came from Shenstone.
My husband's ancestors were cloth weavers of Kidderminster and one, John, was named as a Capital Burgess in the 1636 charter.
