ON Wednesday, April 23, I was the most conspicuous person in the whole of Stourport.
You might ask how that came to be. I will explain.
I was wearing the red rose of England to commemorate St George's Day. If readers recall, St George is the patron saint of England.
I was on the streets of Stourport for well over an hour and observed no other person sporting the same beautiful flower - our country's emblem.
Therefore, I can draw only two sad conclusions.
Firstly, I was the only Englishman in Stourport on that day and at that time.
Secondly, the good citizens of this quintessentially English town had at last succumbed to this miserable government's brainwashing that anything English is improper.
Have they taken to heart the idiocy of the deputy prime minister's one-time declaration that: "There is no such thing as English nationality". I hope not.
