WE wish to express a heartfelt thanks to all the people of Wyre Forest who have so generously supported the efforts of the Acting for Charity Theatre over the last 12 years.
ACT! was formed 12 years ago to raise money for charity through producing amateur theatre productions.
Over the last 12 years we have been able to donate more than £20,000 to charities, including Kemp Hospice, the Odell Trust and Headway.
This would simply not have been possible without the support of local businesses, theatregoers and our own friends and members.
Sadly, at the recent annual meeting, members voted to close the group down.
Raising the costs of productions in advance has become harder and harder to achieve in the current climate, and it was felt that the group could not continue as a charitable organisation.
We have all had tremendous fun over the last 12 years, and have many fond memories from both in front of the curtains and behind the scenes.
