ON Tuesday April 29 Tony Blair made a party political broadcast on TV in support of the Labour Party for the local elections.
In it he stated that under Labour, NHS waiting lists for people needing heart operations had been reduced.
What a load of misinformation, spin or whatever you like to call it.
Last April I was on a so-called "urgent" waiting list at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham to have an angioplasty procedure carried out.
The waiting time then was six to eight weeks. Because the procedure was unsuccessful I have once again been placed on the "urgent" waiting list for a repeat operation, but now the waiting period is three to four months.
So, Mr Blair, where are these reduced waiting times, or are you also not being given accurate figures?
