THIS year's Cropthorne Walkabout has been pronounced a runaway success by organisers.
The event was held over the Bank Holiday weekend and attracted large crowds to the village.
Some residents opened their gardens to the public, and visitors also admired special flower arrangements on display in the church.
Richard Mumford, chairman of the Cropthorne Walkabout committee said: "It was a great success, we were very fortunate with the weather."
The event was the 28th Walkabout the village has held. Plans are already underway to organise next year's festivities.
Mr Mumford said the committee is planning to meet again within the next few weeks.
He added: "The Walkabout not only brings a lot of people to the village, it also gets residents working together as a team."
