Malvern Tn Wdrs 4,
Evesham Utd U-13 3
IN a bid to hang on to runners-up spot, United finished off their league campaign with a visit to newly crowned Mercian League champions.
In a close game in blustery conditions it was the home side who struck first early on. However, United soon hit back to equalise when Jamie Miles battled his way into area and rode several tackles to set up Ben Bearcroft to fire home.
After the break Malvern regained the lead after a mix-up in the Evesham defence, only for James White to level again with a shot from the edge of the box.
Two goals in quick succession then seemed to put Malvern in control of the game before Jamie Kerr found space in the Malvern area to side-foot home ahead of an exciting finish.
United now await the results of other matches before knowing if they have finished as runners-up.
