THE search is on to find the top countryside sustainability projects in Worcestershire for 2003, with a £1,000 reward for the best one.
Hereford cider makes Bulmers is putting up the cash reward for the winner of this year's Bulmers Award for Sustainable Innovation in the Countryside which runs in association with the Three Counties Countryside Show from June 13 to 15.
The competition sets out to promote initiatives which are helping regenerate the Worcestershire countryside and which contribute specifically to sustainability's three key criteria of delivering economic, environmental and social returns.
Gareth Smith, director of the Three Counties Agricultural Society, said: "The regeneration of the countryside along more sustainable lines is important to us all and the award fosters initiatives which will help achieve this goal
"There are many innovative projects already under way in the region, all worthy of the £1,000 prize."
The competition is open to everyone involved in a countryside project. To enter send a description of the project, together with any leaflets or photographs, to Bulmers Award for Sustainable Innovation in the Countryside, Three Counties Countryside Show, Malvern, WR13 6NW, no later than May 31.
