PERFECT prams pushed by proud parents will feature in Pershore Carnival procession later this month.
As part of a new look parade, without juggernauts and along a shorter route, a challenge has gone out to mums and dads to decorate their prams and join in.
The fancy dress procession has the theme of Myths and Legends this year and features all the usual attractions.
People with any form of non-motorised transport are also welcome to join the parade and ideas for a suitable vehicle for the Carnival Queen and her attendants would be welcomed.
Anyone wishing to join in should meet at the Brandy Cask riverside gardens at 1pm.
The carnival, on bank holiday Monday, May 26, also features an enlarged programme of events in Abbey Park and a farmers market in Broad Street.
The new community centre on the site of the old post office will also be shown off, with a craft fair being held in the recently completed extension and the new cut through to St Andrew's park will feature in the parade route.
The Bear FM will be holding a road show on the Abbey Park and the festivities will culminate with a firework spectacular.
