THE Evesham Association stages its annual general meeting at Wallace House Community Centre, Oat Street, Evesham next Tuesday from 7.30pm.
One of the most improved players, Rachael Sellick of Evesham Swans was successful in winning the Novice Singles Tournament held at Evesham High School.
Sellick, who collected a trophy for finishing as third highest average in the H2O Plumbing and Heating Division 3B, overcame the top average player Matt Goode (Littleton Bulldozers) on her way to the final where she met Matt Ross (Blackminster Bullets) who got the better of second highest average Jamie Brown on his way to the final.
Ross won a hard-fought semi-final in five sets over Liam Wilson who struck first blood in the final taking the first set 11-6.
Sellick, though, hit some ferocious forehand drives and powered her way back to win the next three sets 11-8, 11-5, 11-8.
