YOUNG gardeners and bookworms at a county school are hoping bargain hunters will help their "School Grounds Project" to get underway.
Norton-juxta-Kempsey CE First School, in Wadborough Road, Littleworth, has planned an outdoor haven for pupils, including gardening, reading and quiet story-telling areas.
And they are hoping parents and friends can help sow the first seeds of success by raising money for the scheme at an auction at Norton Parish Hall tomorrow night.
"This is just one of many fund-raisers we have held to make our dream a reality but it is definitely the biggest," said chairwoman of the PTA Fiona Narburgh.
"We've been overwhelmed with the generosity of local businesses and parents who have donated a whole range of items, from a cut and blow dry and meals out to an Indian head massage and making balloon animals at a children's party."
All cash raised on the night will go to the school's garden project, and the evening will include party food, a licensed bar and a disco.
Tickets cost £1 and are available at the school on 01905 820420, or on 01386 565101
