OVER 70 people attended an organ recital given by Peter Dyke of Hereford Cathedral last Monday evening at St James Church, Colwall. The programme was a varied and very enjoyable one containing works by British, French and German composers and ended with a stirring rendition of Walton's Crown Imperial. Refreshments were served afterwards.
The next production by the Colwall Players is A Memory of Water by Shelagh Stephenson. This is due to be performed at Colwall Village Hall from Thursday, May 15, to Saturday, May 17. All three performances will start at 7.30pm. This play is an Olivier Award-winning drama, moving and very funny in turns. It does contain strong language in places and therefore is not suitable for children. Tickets are £6 and are available from John Goodwin, Estate Agents, Walwyn Road, Colwall.
