THE amazing sum of £375 was raised by the sponsored knit for Corse Parish Church and now, with wool which had been kindly donated, two people are very kindly busy knitting hats for the homeless in Gloucester.
Corse & Staunton Village Hall 100 Club winners in the April draw were: 1 Mrs Muriel Houldey, 2 Mrs J Clayton, 3 Mr P Priday, 4 Mrs A Barnett.
A number of people have asked why the swings at the Corse & Staunton Playing Field have no seats, their children or grandchildren have been disappointed when they have taken them especially for the swings. I now have been told by the parish clerk that the swings have been stolen, what heartless people there are about who can deprive little children of their simple pleasures.
The service at Corse Parish Church on Sunday will be morning service at 10.30am.
