MALVERN RFC has been awarded the RFU Seal of Approval and the Sport England Clubmark Award for the club's involvement in community sport.
The RFU Seal of Approval is the governing body's method endorsing rugby clubs who maintain and improve the provision of rugby and standards of good practice that are defined by the RFU's own Community Rugby programme.
The accreditation recognises the effort and achievement of the Malvern Link-based club to meet the required standards of the Sport England Active Sports programme.
The Sport England Clubmark is awarded to sports clubs which ensures that the safe, effective, child-friendly club standards are met. Any club awarded the RFU's Community Rugby Seal of Approval will also achieved Sport England official approval.
Gary Tolley, the chairman of youth rugby at Malvern RFC said: "The club has been working for towards these awards for two years. It is a great achievement for the youth section and the club as a whole.
"It demonstrates the club's commitment to become a full member of community sport and to work along side the local authorities and schools to increase the participation of young people in sport across the Malvern Hills district."
