I WOULD like to take issue with the recent comments by Ahmed Raza.
I feel that his letters are utterly offensive to many people.
Nevertheless, his claims that Britain is a terrorist state do seem conclusively proved, now that we've learnt that two Muslims with British passports were sent to murder innocent civilians in Israel.
To allege that the British involvement in Iraq is a crusade against Islam is absurd and outrageous. For a small island country, we go about this crusade in a peculiar way. Over the past few years, we've given full citizenship to several million Muslims.
These people have the same entitlements as any other citizen. They have the right to health, education, work, welfare, housing and are free to practise the religion of their choice.
His comments will not encourage good relations between different races and religions.
Ahmed Raza enjoys living in Britain, an egalitarian society. That must be far preferable to living in a country like Iraq.
