WORCESTER St. John's Cycling Club's annual Spring Road Race tomorrow has attracted a full field of 70 riders.
This includes includes 13 elite riders and 22 first category racers.
The Spring Race has a new look this year, being open to top class riders and on a new course. The 135 Km race starts at 10.30am at Cookhill Village Hall near Alcester and uses five laps of an Inkberrow-Flyford-Radford circuit.
There are no notable climbs on the circuit, but its rolling nature will wear riders down especially if strong winds blow in.
Notable entrants are Danny Axford (Parrot Print Tal RT) Paul Crook (Anglia Sport), Mike Jones and Jason Meyer (Paramount CRT) and Nigel Williams (Python RT).
Worcestershire interest comes from an in-form Gavin Poupart of Worcester who is in the same team as brothers Paul and Steve Dring, while Tim Wood of Bromyard has plenty of quality racing miles in his legs.
